Paul joined the firm in 1979 and has more than 25 years of experience practicing law. He counsels insurance companies and self-insureds on defensive strategies and broad-based issues. He litigates cases involving wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, insurance law, product liability, negligence, contract and business litigation.
Paul is a member of the Cleveland, Ohio State and American Bar Associations, the Ohio Association and Cleveland Association of Civil Trial Attorneys and the Defense Research Institute. He practices in all Ohio state and federal courts and he is a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar. Paul has been selected as Inside Business Magazine's "Leading Lawyer" for insurance law in Northeast Ohio since 2001 and has been included in "The Best Lawyers In America" publications since 2003.
He has also been selected by his peers as an "Ohio Super Lawyer," as published in Cincinnati Magazine and Northern Ohio Live, since 2003.
Paul received his A.B. from Miami University of Ohio in 1975, and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He served as Assistant Attorney General of Ohio (1978-79).
