Thom has been a member of the firm since 1984. He has a wide range of experience in litigating wrongful death, products liability, intentional tort and UM/UIM cases as well as many other types of serious injury cases. Our major clients often solicit his counsel in evaluating and negotiating catastrophic injury cases. In addition, Thom offers specialized expertise on a variety of insurance coverage issues including copyright and advertising injury. He also counsels clients in areas of nursing home negligence and employer intentional torts.
Thom was admitted to the Ohio bar in 1984 and is a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan, Akron, Ohio State, Lake and Cuyahoga County Bar Associations, the Cleveland Association of Civil Trial Attorneys and the Defense Research Institute. He oversees many of Davis & Young's fiscal operations and is actively involved in the firm's ongoing associate recruitment program.
Born in Pennsylvania, he received his B.A. in political science from Ohio University in 1981, summa cum laude, and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1984.
